RVD General Contractors is a commercial and residential construction general contractor and management company. We pride ourselves on delivering a project as a seamless, vertically integrated delivery process. This means that we will guide you along your project from inception through finish and turnover to client. We accomplish this through our team’s vast knowledge of construction practices, trade resourcefulness, material property/application/pricing activity expertise, and a transparent and iterative estimating and proposal process that will always leave the client with a clear understanding of what you are paying for, and what you shall expect to receive.
DESIGN PHASE (PERMITTED PROJECTS) – This phase can and should be started before consulting with RVD General Contractors for projects of medium to large scopes and must be permitted by the local jurisdiction (see tutorial vide below for an understanding of this step)
INITIAL CONSULTATION – We start with what you envision as the projects basic result or theme. A fully itemized initial estimate, that includes the labor and materials that are actively known from the initial consultation, being presented to the client. This step will get you close to the project cost and thus allow the client to adjust the project accordingly. If you have not done so, an architect and/or engineer shall be procured as soon as possible for permitted projects.
FOLLOW-UP MEETING(S) – This is when we hone-in on specific finishes, initial project adjustments, and project timeline. A subsequent estimate shall be presented with any new information contained within that will be a more specific representation of the actual project costs. This step is iterated until both parties have a clear understanding of what is expected from both parties.
CONTRACT & PRECONSTRUCTION SERVICES – Once all project specific characteristics are finalized with attached costs, the final itemized proposal is signed with the project specific and general condition contracts. Permitting and any jurisdictional processes will commence at this time.
MOBILIZATION – The start of hands-on construction begins. Any major adjustments to the project from the client at this point shall be rectified through the change order process contained in the contract. This is where the magic happens, and the vision takes shape.
PUNCH-OUT AND PROJECT TURNOVER – The client/architect/owner’s representative and RVD General Contractors shall identify any minor issues together via a project walk-through. The items shall be systematically rectified and then the project is complete and turned over to the client.
